Doctoral Accolades

Catch up with the recent accomplishments of our scholarly community.

Earned his Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership at GCU, was named Superintendent of the Queen Creek Unified School District in April 2015. Dr. Berry had served as interim superintendent since January and previously served as the assistant superintendent and director of curriculum for the district. Before moving to the East Valley, Dr. Berry served as a teacher, principal and assistant superintendent in Page, AZ. A former professional baseball player in the Houston Astros organization, Dr. Berry has served as a teacher and administrator and coached three sports (baseball, basketball and football) in Louisiana, Colorado and Arizona for more than 15 years. Dr. Berry earned a master's degree in secondary education and his principal licensure from Adams State College in Colorado and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He has been a presenter at national conferences on counseling and dropout prevention.

Mother and daughter, Regina Jacobs and Brittnae Jacobs, are completing their residency together through GCU’s College of Doctoral Studies
