MBA Student, GCU
Emma received her BA with an Emphasis in Finance at a school in south Florida before moving to GCU in August 2022 for the MBA program. Emma grew up in Norway but has lived a total of six years in the United States — one year in Michigan for an exchange program in high school, four years in Florida for her undergrad, and a little over a year here in Phoenix.
In the spring of 2023, she finished her fifth year of collegiate swimming, a sport she had been doing most of her life. Having a very active childhood and a passion for swimming at an early age has created an affectionate relationship for everything related to sports and the outdoors.
On her free time, Emma enjoys hanging out with friends, going for walks and hikes, learning new skills, cooking and baking. She also has a big love for animals, and since she was young, she thought she was going to pursue a career as a veterinarian. After a few years, her career priorities changed and she decided to study finance. One thing about Emma is that she believes that anything is possible, that we are lifelong learners, and that life always works out the way it is supposed to.
