On-Campus Tuition
This tuition freeze stems from our belief in the importance of a quality, attainable education for all. While the cost per credits are listed below, the average traditional campus student in 2023-24 qualified for approximately $7,200 in GCU-funded scholarships each academic year, which reduced their annual tuition cost to approximately $9,200.1 Speak with your university counselor for more information about estimating the costs of attending GCU.

As a private university, GCU has the same in-state and out-of-state tuition.
Traditional, campus undergraduate students are required to take a minimum of nine (9) credits in the traditional, campus format during the fall and spring semester.
Traditional, campus students taking courses in the online format will be charged the regular traditional tuition rates.
It is the policy of GCU to collect and remit sales, use, excise and/or gross receipts taxes in compliance with state and local taxing jurisdiction regulations, which require the university to remit tax where applicable. Regulations vary by student location. Payment of tax is ultimately the student's financial responsibility to the university regardless financing arrangements. Per Hawaii requirements: It is hereby stated that students residing in the State of Hawaii will be charged Hawaii General Excise Tax on all transactions. Students living in the District of Oahu will be charged 4.712 percent. Students residing in other Hawaii districts will be charged 4.1666 percent.

1 Scholarships may be awarded based on sixth semester transcripts (high school transcripts submitted after Junior year of high school). When final official transcripts are received, GCU reserves the right to rescind or modify the scholarship if it is determined that eligibility was not achieved. GCU reserves the right to change or decline scholarship awards for any reason. If a student does not meet the minimum renewal criteria, their scholarship will be forfeited. Prices are based on the 2023-24 rate and are subject to change.
