GCU Campus Eats
As you and your student prepare for their first year of college, you will feel a range of emotions, including excitement and nervousness. At GCU, we strive to ease your nervousness and provide your student with a grade-A quality campus experience. A large part of a great campus experience is campus eats, and GCU has much to offer in student dining.
Dining Options
GCU offers a wide selection of eateries in four locations on campus: the Student Union, Thunder Alley, Lopes Way and the GCU Arena. Students enjoy a different variety of food options from all over the country that are guaranteed to satisfy any craving. Eateries include Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, Chick-fil-A, Subway, Panda Express, Qdoba Mexican Grill, Zoyo Neighborhood Yogurt and much more!
Healthy Eats
As a parent, you naturally wonder if there are healthy eating options on a college campus. GCU provides healthy food options in in their campus eateries, as well as alternative options for students with food allergies and limitations. One such option is Simple Servings, a new dining option that provides safe food choices for students with food allergies, gluten intolerance and more. They offer a variety of foods that are made without ingredients responsible for food-allergy reactions, including milk, eggs, wheat, soy, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts and gluten.
Meal Plans
GCU offers a variety of meal plans for students. For the 2017-18 academic year, meal plans come in the form of Canyon Dining Dollars, which can be spent in any on-campus eatery. Each plan distributes a certain amount of Dining Dollars per semester.
- Canyon $750 Dining Dollars (Exclusive to apartment residents or commuter students)
- Canyon $1,350 Dining Dollars (Minimum requirement for residence hall residents)
- Canyon $1,800 Dining Dollars
- Canyon $2,100 Dining Dollars
- Canyon $2,700 Dining Dollars
