Chapel Rewind: Sean Myers
Sean Myers from Redemption Peoria came back to GCU for the second time to speak to Grand Canyon University students about making a difference. One of the pieces of scripture that he used can be found in 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 where Paul talks about the thorn in his flesh and boasting in weaknesses.
We have to accept that we are weak and that anything that we can do is not through us, but it is solely through the sovereignty of Christ. Only through our weaknesses can the glory be given to God. Therefore, we should delight all weaknesses because only then are we able to showcase where our strength comes from.
But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
