“For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, ‘Fear not, I am the one who helps you.’” – Isaiah 41:13

Picture this: You wake up, do your morning routine, grab your coffee and run out the door to your first class. After being reminded that you have an essay due at the end of the week you get to your next class and take a test that you stayed up all last night studying for. Your feet then take you to a club meeting and then back to another class where you get paired up for a project due by the end of the week. After your last class, you head to work and then after work, back to school for sports. By the time you get home, you are tired and exhausted but have to work on your project and essay.

Does anyone else’s schedule look this way towards the end of the semester? Do you dread looking at your calendar because you just know you have assignment after assignment and obligation after obligation? It can be very tiring mentally and physically to run around every day, without even a lunch break in-between. We have all been there and some of us are still in this place right now.

Isaiah 41 talks about how God is always with us and we should not fear. Verse ten says, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

God wants us to lean on Him and take the weight off our shoulders. We can’t keep running through life, piling heavier and heavier loads on our backs. He didn’t intend for us to live our life like that.

If you go to Isaiah 41:17-20 you get a glimpse of everything that God will do. He never mentions anything He can’t do because He can do all. God holds all authority and every “I will” of His will come to pass. It may not happen right away, or at the exact moment you want Him to, but it will. That’s a promise He gives to us all.

“Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted, but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not grow weary they shall walk and not grow faint.”

God lets us run and not get tired through Him. Through prayer and spending time with Him, we gain the strength to go on with our day and see Him working in our life. This load was never meant for us to carry ourselves; give it to God and He will get you through the busy and stressful days ahead of us.
