No matter what stage you may be in life, we will always experience transitions and seasons. In college, people may experience many significant changes, such as becoming more independent, adjusting to new academics and responsibilities, and preparing for the future. Whether you just started your degree or are about to finish, the seasons and transitions will continue to change. As college students, this can be overwhelming. However, leaning on God’s strength and guidance can help make the transition easier.

Trusting God Through Changes

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and make your paths straight. — Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV

When faced with uncertainty, it is natural to feel fear or anxiety about taking big steps in life. Despite all of the changes and transitions that we will face in life, one thing will remain the same — God’s love for us. Scripture explains that we are not alone in how we feel and that God is here to help us. He has a great plan for each of us as we walk through the path of life. He helps to guide our steps and feet to where we need to go. We should not lean on our own understanding. Instead, we should lean on the understanding and plan that God has for us. We can trust in God through these changes we may experience and stand firm in our faith.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. — Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV

Embracing New Seasons

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. — Ecclesiastes 3:1, NIV

Every season of life brings its own challenges, blessings and opportunities. We can embrace these new transitions, trusting in God’s timing and purpose. Be grateful for each season and change, as they are an opportunity to trust in God and get to know him more personally. Embracing new seasons can bring new growth and help us step out of our comfort zones. God is constantly at work with our lives. By trusting that he is with us in every season, we can face change with hope and confidence.

Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. — Ephesians 5:1-2, NIV

With God being the rock of our lives and the foundation, we can navigate through changes and stand strong. Embrace new seasons with an open heart, ready to experience the fullness that God has planned for you. In life’s transitions, pray to God and reflect on his Word. His wisdom can bring peace, comfort and encouragement through challenging times.

No matter what season we may be in or the season we’ll face in the future — God is here with us.
