  1. Theological and Historical Foundations - Graduates of Grand Canyon University's Bachelor of Arts in Worship Arts with an Emphasis in Media and Production Ministry program will be able to exhibit a basic knowledge of biblical history, literature, and Christian theology, and will be able to apply these foundations in contemporary expressions of ministry.
    • Analyze the history, literature, and theology of the Old Testament.
    • Analyze the history, literature, and theology of the New Testament.
    • Describe the historical development of Christian theology and practice.
    • Articulate a biblical understanding of God as Creator and Redeemer.
    • Articulate the biblical concept of the Kingdom of God.
    • Analyze the relationship between Christian doctrine and the ministry of worship within a particular Christian tradition.
  2. Spiritual and Professional Formation - Graduates of Grand Canyon University's Bachelor of Arts in Worship Arts with an Emphasis in Media and Production Ministry program will examine and apply professional and spiritual components of worship ministry.
    • Demonstrate the skills essential to teaching in worship ministry, including interpersonal communication.
    • Identify the principles of Christian ethics as they apply to ministry.
    • Identify the relationship between the gospel message and personal and corporate worship.
    • Examine the foundational nature of Scripture for the disciplines of spiritual formation.
  3. Communication and Cultural Contextualization - Graduates of Grand Canyon University's Bachelor of Arts in Worship Arts with an Emphasis in Worship Ministry program will be able to effectively and respectfully assess Christian worship practices in diverse cultural settings.
    • Describe Christian worship practices in various historical and contemporary cultures.
    • Articulate the gospel through a biblically grounded worship experience for a culturally diverse audience, incorporating multiple modes of communication.
  4. Media and Production Ministry - Graduates of Grand Canyon University’s Bachelor of Arts in Worship Arts with an Emphasis in Media and Production Ministry program will be able to lead in a variety of worship experiences and environments through planning, production, and musical proficiency.
    • Demonstrate leadership and collaborative skills in planning and producing a worship experience.
    • Demonstrate the ability to effectively organize and utilize the various technologies required in a live worship setting (e.g., audio, graphic media, video, and lighting).
    • Articulate the fundamentals of audio considerations (analog and digital) for live worship settings.
    • Demonstrate expertise in worship ministry film production.
    • Evaluate best practices for troubleshooting, improvement, maintenance, and management of audio technologies.
    • Articulate the legal and ethical considerations of all aspects of production in the church.
    • Develop a lighting plan including a light plot and run sheet based on production needs and budget restrictions.
