Health Information Systems and Information Technology - Graduates of Grand Canyon University's Master of Science in Health Informatics will be able to evaluate health information technology, assess user needs, and apply knowledge of the information systems development life cycle to plan, design, test, and implement health care informatics solutions within organizations.
- Apply knowledge of the systems development life cycle (SDLC) to recommend informatics solutions to resolve clinical or health care administrative problems.
- Evaluate computer and information technologies to determine applicability to health care practice, education, administration, and research.
- Apply knowledge of health information technology applications, tools, processes, and structures to manage health data.
- Integrate principles of human factors engineering and user interface into the design and implementation of informatics solutions.

Informatics - Graduates of Grand Canyon University's Master of Science in Health Informatics will be able to assess clinical and organizational workflow processes, the needs of information users, and data storage structure and design to assist in the gathering, analysis, and representation of health care data.
- Analyze and interpret health-related data for the purposes of improving health care services and health-related outcomes and promoting wellness among populations.
- Assess the information needs of end users in order to assist in the acquisition of relevant data.
- Analyze clinical workflow and apply process modeling techniques to support improved use of information and clinical decision making.
